Solberg had finally got on the podium.
The driver of Subaru World Rally Team Petter Solberg won the second place after finishing Rally Australia. Impreza WRC2006 excellent performance allowed him to win three stages of the day and six stages out of the whole rally.
Although Chris Atkinson made a mistake that lead to 25-minutes penalty and to the loss of leading position, he managed to stay in the top ten after another successful run. Thus, this weekend was quite successful for Subaru if comparing to an unsatisfactory performance of the team in this season so far.
