Strictly speaking, it's a stale news already. However, as this is about a perfect car (IMHO) I could not pass by such news.
Well…
Subaru Forester production has reached 1 million cars.
World-wide transport and aerospace equipment manufacturer Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI) one of the branches of which is Subaru announced that the millionth Subaru Forester had been produced. This happened 9 years after the company began production of Subaru Forester at Gunma Yajima Plant in December 1996.
Subaru Forester designed on the basis of crossover SUV combines all the characteristics of four-by-four, improved safety system, performance attributes, and comfort. It became a new pattern of cars with high operational performance. The first generation Subaru Forester set a new world record with an average speed of 180.082 km/h in the 24-hour challenge in October 1996 and was certified by the FIA and ACCUS.
During the past 9 years Subaru Forester has become the winner in the nomination Car of the Year numerous times in different countries from USA to Russia. American consulting firm AutoPacific which makes its own rating of Ideal cars based on car owners' poll declared it the winner in the nomination Ideal Vehicle Award for Compact Sport Utility Vehicles… Et cetera, et cetera…
We may continue this list of rewards but it is not the case… The point is that Forester celebrates a sort of jubilee -the first million of cars…which will be certainly followed by the second.
