The pessimists do not drive Subaru cars!
Almost for few seasons the entry into SWRT turned out to be a failure. Nevertheless, the officials seems to be optimists.
For example David Richards, the boss of Prodrive company, which is responsible for engineering of Subaru Impeza rally car, consider very succesfull the appearance of this car in rally competition in Mexico.
Mr. Richard told the journalists: "I think the appearance of this car was excellent, taking into account that fact that it has been passed very few tests on this car." He is sure that the rest of the season, the SWRT staff should continue to work on improoving the results. And for next year when the team will be responsible for elaboration of a new car, then they have to put in front of themselves more exalted aims.
Richard also sayed"I think we will see Peter and Chris fighting for victory and podiums this year. But for next year for sure they would not have any excuses in bad results." By the way, Solberg already attempted to characterize Impeza 2007 as a ideal car, in spite of that fact that this car in Mexico did not came to finish first.
What can I say, Forever optimism!
