Subaru World Rally Team leaders have stated that their work under their next generation rally car is proceeding according to plan, and in the nearest months testing of new car Impreza WRC will begin. There was no information except published couple of weeks ago first images of rally concept before. The only thing that was known was that Impreza WRC car will be officially presented by teams' number one - Petter Solberg on the September Frankfurt motor show.
However the SWRT managing director Richard Taylor has declared that the first chassis will be ready during couple of weeks, and terms of new car's appearance on the line will depend on how tests will pass.
"We shall observe how car's progress moves, and also how our present car's competitiveness develops. These factors, together with the stages approved for the next season, will define, when we finally will see new car afoot. But, to tell the truth, we hardly will make the final decision till the beginning of 2008 ", - he has added.
…It remains only to hope, that new race car will be more competitive … it is time to win!
