The presentation of new "bellicose" Impreza in Frankfurt passed somehow insensibly.
In general it is no wonder - it was already written enough about it, photo and video materials for a long time were laid out in the network … And I have paid attention on the fact: discussion about design of the new car has practically stopped, its comparisons with new Mitsubishi Lancer and lamentations about "Subaru degenerates" have disappeared… Have everybody got used? I think that this is not the only reason. Quite from the moment of new Impreza's occurrence everybody from just fans up to STI and other respectable firms have rushed to its tuning. And FHI by itself, for the beginning having frightened funs with "the official course" for decrease of the cost price and design simplification, has declared release of new car's multitude modifications with quite impressing characteristics.
So now we have to wait for new Impreza's debut in WRC finally to understand - is the legend alive or not … It seems to me, that it is alive.
By the way: a day after Colin McRae's lost in the air crash, the helicopter operated by Prodrive's head David Richards was wrecked. He and his wife were flying back from Belgium Grand prix. Fortunately this time everybody is alive.
