Strictly this is not the news, but of course I can't ignore this event!
Finally Subaru condescended from PR courses to us, mere mortal! It has represented the new generation of Subaru at the motor show in New York! Well, Sedan Subaru Impreza WRX is an exclusive engineering for American market. As we can see from the reaction on the numerous Internet resources, dedicated to automobiles generally and Subaru in particular, all the people have shock.
Generally, there are 2 main versions:
1. FHI management decided that new Imrreza should be very frightful! They want to sea the customers' reaction. If the customers buy it, all the designers will be dismissed from company as not wanted.
2. All designers have been already dismissed!
I trend the second reason and I am dejected! It is not Imrreza!!!
I console myself that it should drive rather well, as all Subaru! What about it's appearance? We will soon get used! But if they deform Forester I will fall into depression!

American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) listed the safest cars of 2007 model year.
This list doesn't contain a single American car. A new mandatory requirement, apart from the excellent results of crush test, was ESC (Electronic Stability Control). Such famous trademarks as Ford Five Hundred, Mercury Montego, and Japanese Honda Civic showing good performance during the crush tests but not equipped with ESC were not included in this list either.
Thus, Top Safety Pick - 2007 became only 13 cars. Among large cars the safest car became Audi A6 and among mid-size - Audi A4, Saab 9-3 Subaru Legacy.
The safest minivans were called Hyundai Entourage Kia Sedona (in Russia - Kia Carnival). Among luxury SUVs the winners are Mercedes M-Class Volvo XC90. Among midsize SUVs the title was won by Acura RDX, Honda Pilot Subaru B9 Tribeca. The winners in the class of small SUVs became Honda CR-V Subaru Forester.
That means that out of 13 winners 3 are Subaru!
