Service zone
Can you imagine the car state, when it comes back in service zone after the racing? The teams' technicians, received the information some minutes before the car arriving, have 20 minutes in order to renew the primary efficiency of damaged units and aggregates.

The time is noted from the moment the car passes the service zone line. Every second excess of car in the reparation zone can lead to a fine that reduces to zero the pilots' work.
The car is usually raised with jacks and is placed on four bearings. After this, mechanicians, every of which is a specialist in his domain, start repairing the car. If the car comes without any evident mechanical damages, they change disks with rubber, control the level of liquids, control the deterioration of all four brake disks, make a general control and broach and sometimes, if the pilot asks, the mechanicians change the regulation of shock-absorbers and the suspension.
That is to say, these are usual regulation works… Now imagine that the car comes in a very "damaged" state and many of its aggregates need to be replaced in that 20 minutes! Sometimes just the perfect work of mechanicians and their skills, ability to find out at once technical issues and to put it into the practice, let a car continue racing.
